Pretty fun! Cool to see how you've evolved, I like this aesthetic you've developed over time. Animation is real solid, consistently high energy and fun. I also dig the more surreal visuals with the weird 3d n everything.

Fred's voice is an improvement for sure, the character in general is more likeable than in the last short you did. Personally I thought he was kinda overly sarcastic and sassy in that short, didn't have much charisma or any real funny element to him, he was just kinda annoying. He works better here where he's still sorta the straight man, but not just making basic snarky remarks all the time.

I will say I'm not a fan of Eric's voice, he barely speaks so it's not really an issue here, but I do think his voice and how he skips certain words is kind of a typical "stupid cartoon voice" if that makes sense. Not really any charisma or charm to it, just sounds like the first thing that came to mind when thinking "stupid voice". I'd try to develop it further.

In terms of humor I do think it's a bit basic, some funny visuals but not a whole lot beyond pretty simple slapstick. Not against slapstick at all, I think a lot of golden age cartoons are great, but I think they also have a lot of other inventive funny ideas and jokes that add to the physical comedy, there was a bit of that here but not a whole lot. Would be a good idea to play up the more surreal elements going forward, I think that's where the creativity of the series shines the most.

Pretty good first ep, you got solid groundwork to really push yourself to do more out there stuff, keep at it Trusty!

Tough but fair criticism about Eric's voice. In retrospect, I don't think it really takes either. Sorry if I shredded your eardrums

Been coming back to this a lot, so good. This really stands out to me, as I feel there are few cartoons that have this sort of dry humor and dialogue, while also having such care for presentation and quality. Rare to see that sort of combination! Such great animation, backgrounds, and overall atmosphere, luv it

This has like all the same problems I see on nearly every improv animation I see. improv is more than just repeating yourselves a million times and then laughing at every other line without executing actual jokes. idk if you think it creates a "natural" feel or whatever but it's just annoying and forced. Do actual jokes or write some shit out so it's not completely aimless, improv has a lot of potential but it's annoying seeing nearly every improv cartoon just be awkwardly rambling with nothing to say and laughing at everything without actually being funny

Jaquin responds:

we're not.. funny..?

foneycone responds:

honestly this is all jaq's fault

Very nicely worded review, man. I can totally see why people like Freezepark and NoobJew666 would find your words so captivating!

Love the art and I like the whole concept a lot. I feel that the pacing would be better slowed down a lil tho cus the part where Pico gets a text from bf and gets these flashbacks goes by rly fast, and if I didn't know the concept beforehand I prolly wouldn't get what was going on first time watching this. Good job on it overall tho, good luck on the jam 💃

mikelzNG responds:

duely noted, thanks brudda

Kill MikelzNG, they'll never love you
You'll never be enough, let's just keep it real, MikelzNG
Fuck MikelzNG, I mean, you shot your own brother
How can we know if we can trust MikelzNG?

mikelzNG responds:

HOLY FUCK YOU GOT THE REFERENCE

Damn you rly went from the eddsworld kidz collab to this...such fall from grace......

JewWariosCorpse responds:

Damn... I guess so...

I rly liked this!! I liked the visuals in this a lot, the art and animation's a lil sloppy but it's got a charm to it. The whole thing was rly fun to watch and it got a few laughs outta me. I think my only real issues are just with some of the audio mixing. The music sorta drowns out the voices at times and I think the first scene could've used some more sound effects or ambiance since it felt sorta empty, just a minor complaint tho. It's cool seeing how ur stuff's grown so much and I'm looking forward to seeing what else you'll do for the show, keep it up bro 🤠

Snackers responds:

I'm gonna kill ninjamuffin, dude cant do audio for shit

Wow that was so touching and
